The city will become the world's most popular marine tourism destination, it was predicted yesterday. With more than 51,000 new berths, marinas, large harbours and ports waiting to be built in the emirate, Dubai is destined to become the world's most sought after location for marine sports and tourism, said Saeed Hareb - director of marinas at Nakheel and managing director of Dubai International Marine Club.

Hareb said projects such as The World, the largest cluster of man-made islands in the Arabian Sea, are testimony to the resources and expertise

in Dubai. Speaking at the final day of the Arabian Travel Market, Hareb said a number of new marinas are being planned to meet the demand of the evolving Dubai landscape.
