Jennifer Durovic of Clifton Park surprised many people with an exceptional freshman soccer season at Utica College last fall. But after seeing her statistics, it is no surprise that she was named Freshman of the Year at the college's awards banquet.

"I was just looking to get some playing time," Durovic said. "I never expected to start and have such a successful season."

Successful may be an understatement. Sensational is more like it.

Durovic, a center-forward striker, accounted for more than half her team's goals (11), assists (eight) and total points (30).
