Fed: Employment surges again to record high
Businesses have put on the equivalent of a small city in extra staff over the pasttwo months, with new figures showing employment surging to a record high.
Official figures show employment snowballed in December for the fourth straight monthto 9.48 million, although increased numbers of jobseekers pushed the jobless rate up anotch to 6.2 per cent.
